The Warratahs

The legendary band the Warratahs come to the town for a one off special concert on Saturday 23 October. They’re instantly recognisable with their unique style of country-rock, with well-loved songs such as Maureen, Hands of My Heart, Nothing Ever Happens Round Here still firm favourites with the crowds.
The Warratahs got together in Wellington in 1986, since then they’ve had many great moments including a New Zealand Music Award for Best Country Album, opening for huge international acts such as Billie Joel and country music supergroup The Highwaymen; a super-group consisting of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson, and in 2016, being inducted into the prestigious Gold Guitar’s Hands of Fame.
Looking forward to giving the audience a toe-tapping, hand clapping night to remember are Barry Saunders on guitar and vocals, Nik Brown on fiddle and mandolin, Alan Norman on accordion and piano, with Michael Knapp on drums. The NBS Theatre will be rocking!

Tickets can be purchased at the NBS Theatre.
